Lionel Messi has only ever played for Barcelona and the
Argentina national team in his lifetime. He has been successful at club level
but not so much at the international level.
He is certainly Barcelona's greatest player of all time, He is
regarded as the best player of all time, at 32 he is still playing at the
highest level and he even captains his side to this day. He has been a member
of the Barcelona team for the last sixteen years and in that time scored 433
league goals.
It’s still unlikely that he will end up moving on from the Nou Camp but City are still hopeful. If Messi were to leave Barcelona for City, the Citizens want it to be on the player’s terms.
